My sister Bubbles and I were rescued from a shelter when we were tiny babies. Unfortunately when we were at the shelter we both got Upper Respiratory Infections and were exposed to the Rhino Virus ( Feline Herpes is similar to Herpes Simplex in humans). About 95% of cat population carry the virus although with many cats the virus is latent. Cats coming from shelters are more likely to catch the virus and show the symptoms. Treatment of the symptoms are antibiotics, antiviral like Famciclovir and lysine. As their immune system matures the flare ups will be further apart. A stress- less environment will help tremendously. 

We feel so much better these days though we will probably always be a bit congested and have watery eyes. We are otherwise healthy.

Bubbles and I don't have to be adopted together but we would be a great pair if you have room in your heart and home for us both. Because Feline Herpes is contagious to some cats we should be the only cat(s) in your home. If you have an air purifier in your home that seems to greatly help our symptoms.

We haven't met dogs before but if introduced slowly we'd probably get along just fine!
