*Thank you for visiting our site! We are northtexascatrescue. com , which is not to be confused with the . org website of the same name. North Texas Cat Rescue (NTCR) is an ALL Volunteers 501(C)(3) organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. EIN 20-8812308
Attention NTCR Community We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. This means that we are currently unable to take in any cats who were not adopted from our organization. As a network of foster homes without a physical shelter, our resources and space are limited. We kindly ask that if you need to surrender a cat not adopted from NTCR, you contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.
For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us. We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Please do not abandon or leave cats unattended. We understand that circumstances change, and we are committed to the welfare of every cat we’ve placed. If you are struggling to keep your NTCR cat, reach out to us directly. We will work with you to find a solution because their safety and well-being are our priority.
Thank You for Your Support
Your cooperation helps us continue to make a positive difference in the lives of cats in our community.
Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!
Together, we can keep our feline friends safe and loved!
Hi I am Elmer : One Affectionate Little Dude!
You won't find a more affectionate, cuddly kitten around. I have not met a stranger ( 2 or 4 legged one) yet. The shelter's life has not affected my sweet personality.
I am soooo glad I got to escape from the shelter and hitch a ride to my foster Mom. Phew! it was touch and go for me in a very overpopulated shelter....
I am " Mister Congeniality" and if you are looking for a lap kitty or a new shadow, please look no further: I am It!
I have good litterbox habits and learning to use the scratcher so no declawing for me. I think I will also be happy to have a playmate of my age.
