Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. This means that we are currently unable to take in any cats who were not adopted from our organization. As a network of foster homes without a physical shelter, our resources and space are limited. We kindly ask that if you need to surrender a cat not adopted from NTCR, you contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us. We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Please do not abandon or leave cats unattended. We understand that circumstances change, and we are committed to the welfare of every cat we’ve placed. If you are struggling to keep your NTCR cat, reach out to us directly. We will work with you to find a solution because their safety and well-being are our priority.

Leah came to our rescue group from the Waco shelter, when animals were moved out to make room for animals from the West disaster. Her gray and apricot coloring soon earned her the nickname “Dustbunny.”   She has a comical face with short ears that gives her a look of perpetual disapproval, but she’s an affectionate, purry beast! She’s sort of a mobile knick-knack – she spends her time mostly on the bookshelf or desk, where she can keep an eye on things. She loves her foster humans , and likes to hang out on the sofa or bed with them. She loves being petted or brushed.   Dustbunny is a sweet cat who likes a calm household. She tolerates other cats if she has to, but would probably prefer to be an only cat.
