Hi, my name is Bam Bam. The good people at NTCR first spotted me in a Facebook post from a shelter in Louisiana. I was a young mama and had a litter of kittens, all of my babies died. Shortly after that I found myself curled up in the corner of the steel cold shelter cage, and had given up on life. I was depressed and lonely and would not raise my head, I also had a terrible itchy skin condition that made my fur fall out. I felt ugly and alone, I only wanted love but people were afraid to touch me. I knew I had been put on the list to be put to sleep to make space for other kitties coming into the shelter. The staff made one last attempt to find me a safe place. That's when North Texas Cat Rescue ladies saw my sad little picture on Facebook. Transport was arranged from Louisiana to Dallas, and I ended up in a wonderful foster home. I was given many baths and lots of love. My skin healed, and my fur has grown back in. Now I enjoy life with my foster sibling kitties, eating tasty food, and playing. I am friendly, but like to come to you on my own terms. I am a little cautious of some people at first - maybe I am scared that I will have to have another bath, or I remember how painful my skin was when I was sick. When I come to you, I love getting pets and rubs. I like to be talked to. I would really like a home with another little kitty to play with. I don't want to be locked behind closed doors, I like to be in the action where all my humans are. I have excellent litter box manners, and use my scratching post.
