*Thank you for visiting our site! We are northtexascatrescue. com , which is not to be confused with the . org website of the same name. North Texas Cat Rescue (NTCR) is an ALL Volunteers 501(C)(3) organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. EIN 20-8812308
Attention NTCR Community We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. This means that we are currently unable to take in any cats who were not adopted from our organization. As a network of foster homes without a physical shelter, our resources and space are limited. We kindly ask that if you need to surrender a cat not adopted from NTCR, you contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.
For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us. We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Please do not abandon or leave cats unattended. We understand that circumstances change, and we are committed to the welfare of every cat we’ve placed. If you are struggling to keep your NTCR cat, reach out to us directly. We will work with you to find a solution because their safety and well-being are our priority.
Thank You for Your Support
Your cooperation helps us continue to make a positive difference in the lives of cats in our community.

Hi I am Lavande, ( Lavender in French because of my gorgeous lavender coat)
For most of my life I was an indoor only kitty. But all that changed when the little human baby got very sick because he was so allergic to me. So I found my self outside! I didn't like it there... I was losing weight and was very depressed so my family posted me on FB hoping to find a new home for me.
My foster Mom saw my plea and transport was arranged.
At first I would swallow my food so fast that I would throw up most - I guess I was sooo hungry and afraid I would not get more. So my foster Mom fed me small amount at the time and as reward I would get the delicious pate!
Now I can pace myself!
I would love to be the "Prince" of the house so I can love and be loved. I think I could get used to another kitty but I'd rather to be the center of attention. I am laid back, mellow and affectionate and do love those little mice ( Toys)
I have great litterbox habits and use my scratcher very well.
