Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. This means that we are currently unable to take in any cats who were not adopted from our organization. As a network of foster homes without a physical shelter, our resources and space are limited. We kindly ask that if you need to surrender a cat not adopted from NTCR, you contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us. We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Please do not abandon or leave cats unattended. We understand that circumstances change, and we are committed to the welfare of every cat we’ve placed. If you are struggling to keep your NTCR cat, reach out to us directly. We will work with you to find a solution because their safety and well-being are our priority.

Mission Statement

North Texas Cat Rescue ( NTCR) is a 501 (c)(3) ALL Volunteer organization committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats.

EIN: 20-8812308

It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes.  We are further dedicated to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community.

NTCR takes in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and takes in kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes. NTCR places the cats in foster care for resocializing and regularly runs adoption events to find permanent homes for them.
